Colorado Photo Fundraisers – An Opportunity to Make a Profit

Posted by: admin on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Located in Colorado and need a fundraiser to get your organization up and running? Let’s start with photography and see what we can come up with.

Photo ops mean your group gets a great photo shoot, personal attention to detail and a profitable fundraiser. Your organization schedules photo shoots for specific nights, collects the setting fees (which you get to keep) and arranges for the photographer to appear for scheduled times.

The photographer appears with his trusty assistant and takes photos your organization can be totally proud to display. You’ll want to call Masterpiece Photography for more information — See our Contact Page for contact information.

Dress for a Successful Photo Shoot

Posted by: admin on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

You’d like to lose ten pounds. You’d rather have better hair. Your style isn’t exactly conducive to a great photo. You’re trying to get ready, but isn’t there some way to get rid of those jawls your Granddaddy left you?

While you have many options that will help you be photo ready, there are some things you can’t change. Let’s start with what you can change and we’ll take care of the rest.

It’s the color.
Let’s start with good basic colors and move forward from there. If it’s a group shot, coordinate. If it’s an individual portrait, go dark. Focus on the darkest color you look “terrific” wearing and wear it close to your face.

Stick with a solid color, with perhaps one accent color. Black with red, brown with pale blue, navy blue with lime green are all great combinations, but find one that says “you” and wear it with pizazz.

It’s the fit.
Make sure whatever you wear fits you perfectly. Can’t fix body flaws… fix the clothing. Adjust the cut, redo seams, or hem the edges to improve the fit. Make certain the clothing you select fits you perfect.

Style right? Classic clothing designs offer better photo ops, unless you’re looking for that unique, slightly erotic look, in which case, go for the wild style. Jackets with a little flair, slim the hips. Dresses with v-necks slim the throat. Angular geometrics enhance curves, and curvy styles enhance slim, angular figures.

Focus on your best features to achieve a memorable photo shoot with the best turned out photos.

Making the Most of Your Senior Portrait Shoots

Posted by: admin on Thursday, November 12th, 2009
Senior Portrait

Senior Portrait

You’re 16, you’re beautiful, and you hate the way your eyebrows look in a photograph. We can fix that!

Every 16 year old has a massive facial flaw that needs adjusting, if you don’t believe it, just ask them. Crooked nose, no problem. No plastic surgery required, we’ll take that lump out with the stroke of a brush… er… mouse. Zitz on your lip, not a problem there, a touch of the mouse and your lips are full and perfect.

But… The photo package should ultimately resemble the “YOU” your family remembers, just gussied up for the portrait.

Now how about those buck teeth, the ones you’re planning to have repaired by a dentist the minute you have your own insurance card? We can even straighten and align those!

So, what can you do to make your Senior Portrait memorable and more specifically, perfect?

1 – wear the outfit you feel best wearing.
2 – make sure the colors you wear are stunning.
3 – select great fitting clothes.
4 – be comfortable in your own skin (we’ll take care of the blemish).
5 – smile like you love your life.
6 – know what says YOU like nobody else.
7 – know the one place you’d rather be over any place else in town (outside your bedroom) and have the photographer meet you there.

Are you ready for a stunning Senior Portrait experience? The most effective portraits include your favorite objects? Still have a slightly worn out teddy bear that will go with you to college and beyond? Take him to the setting. Your vehicle shines in the spotlight, make sure you wash it before you go. There are many props you may want to take along to your portrait shoot – don’t forget them.

3 Steps to Creating a Fundraiser For Your Organization

Posted by: admin on Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Fundraisers bring funds to your business or organization and there are many ways to develop a fundraiser, but photo fundraisers offer benefits to the community. These ideas can benefit almost any organization, use them to make the most of your fundraising opportunities.

1 – You’ll need ideas that bring together the community and your organization. What better way to bring the community together than family and group photos or portraits? A photo fundraiser offers many ways to incorporate community and family into the fundraising option. This kind of event will include many people and offer a community opportunity to build new recognition for your organization as well as funding activities within the community. Photo fundraisers give you an opportunity to meet the community and invite them to benefit from paying your organization to serve them. Great idea, huh?

2 – Once you’ve settled on photo fundraising, you can start looking for a photographer. If you have a parent within the group that takes awesome photos, that might be an option, but a greater option is a professional photographer that will give back some of the profits from taking group and family portraits either in their studio or on site. The benefits of a professional photographer are unlimited. The professional knows how best to take the photos, has all the equipment and understands the valuable time slots your families have available. His work will make your fundraiser more profitable.

3 – Selling the photography packages means your organization members get involved. They take a brochure and information to the people in the community, show them the benefits of having a professional portrait taken and give them the great pricing your organization has obtained for their benefit. Their participation makes your photo fundraiser even more successful. The more they sell, the more your organization benefits from the overall fundraising package.

To find out more about photo fundaising and the great opportunities your organization has for building a fundraising package, consider these options.

Photo Fundraiser – 5 Profitable Suggestions

Posted by: admin on Monday, November 9th, 2009

Make your photo fundraiser successful and highly profitable with these genius suggestions for selling portraits.

1 – Make a party of selling the portrait appointments. Set up cookies and a big bowl of punch or hot cider for guests of your organization. Have members gather with music instruments and have a party – selling portraits.

2 – Get all the girls together for a beauty make over. Find the right colors for bright lights and portraits. You’ll want to find the right colors for you. Schedule an appointment with your local Mary Kay Lady – she’ll design a fresh face for your portrait.

3 – Load up the guys for a barber and hair day. Fresh clipped hair has more body and behaves better than a two week old hair cut. Getting a great new style for the portrait is a good idea if you know the barber well.

4 – Instigate a shopping spree for portrait clothing. Dark solid colors will show you off to your best vantage. Consider everyone in the portrait in dark maroon, deep rich purple, navy blue or black.

5 – Stage a fashion show and dress for glamor portraits with your favorite colors, a hair stylist and big mirrors (for checking out your best side).

The best part is – after the party – your organization will make some much needed cash for whatever need has arisen. Use the winter party season to make some quick cash for your organization. Photo fundraisers are an easy quick way to earn cash.

Photo Fund Raising Letters that Draw Profit

Posted by: admin on Monday, August 10th, 2009

Photo Fundraisers – How to Write a Photo Fund Raising Letter to Your Organization

No matter how big your group, a photo fundraiser will bring you more funds from your dollars spent when you use a professional photographer. Professional Photographer Fundraisers will help you write the letters, tell you exactly how much money you can expect to raise, and will be there to walk you through every step of the fundraising process.

Photo fundraisers offer a delightful array of opportunities to make a profit from your group’s photo opportunities, and still provide you with great photos of all members and their families. Use these tips and ideas to get your letter out and start making money, today.

1 – Obtain your fundraising packet from the photographer. It’s easy as pie, most photographers even have a 1-800 number where you can call and ask for the packet. The fundraiser packet arrives in about three to five days and you’ve got all the materials you need for your letter – often including letter head and a flier.

2 – Write a simple letter to your group telling them that you’ve hired this particular photographer to help raise funds for your charitable purpose and encourage all of them to participate in family photos at the reduced rate, by signing up for a reasonably priced set up fee. Include a setting schedule and some suggested clothing choices for the family.

3 – Include a return stamped envelope for their schedule time and fee. It always helps if you have a card inside where they can write down their time and date for their own use, but always ask for a phone number to confirm their time and date when you get the message.

The best part of any photo fundraiser is in the photo results you get to keep from the photographer. Contact Masterpiece Photography through our website at http://mpfundraisers.com for more helpful information about running a photo fundraiser for your organization.
